Whereas the rest of the store might be classified “フリボラス”
After the very シリアス discussion of Regain and corporate culture, we can all take a summer vacation in the air-conditioned “Frivolous” section of Neomarxisme. Stay cool everybody!
One of the reasons I don’t post much these days is that I try to not use AC (Go Earth!) and the heat radiating from my computer breaks the equilibrium of the breeze and pushes me into sweats.
Damned technology. I have never heard from someone overheating from a book.
Name some of your favorite films, marxy.
I also need something completely different for a change.Something not so serious and rant-free topic.
I borrowed “Blow-up”by Antonioni and “The Golden Coach” by Renoir yesterday at Tsutaya. Can’t remember whether it was in the “serious”section, though.
Summer vacation: the only time I actually wear pants is when company comes over… Respect for those who can live AC-free!
If y’all are suffering from the summer doldrums follow my link and download the Unfrozen Mammoth Mix! I think a lot of people on here would dig it, and if nothing else it’ll tide you over until Marxy puts on oven mitts and coaxes the next installment of MXUT out of his blast furnace of a PC…
Download John Pilger documentaries - watching Douglas Feith’s wilfully ignorant denial of any relevant civilian casualties in Iraq in 2003’s Breaking the Silence was classic.

It is cool if you use a/c in Tokyo.
There is no way you could do more damage than any of the pachinko places here.
At least you would keep the door closed if you used it.

I watched “Boys from Brazil,” which is a perfect example of how much smarter we are as an audience now. It’s almost unwatchably slow and predictable.

How you can survive with no AC is beyond me. If mine isn’t cranked 24/7, I feel like I’m going to die.
I watched “Omega Man” the other day. One of my favorite films. Doubt that would be filed under ‘Serious’ though…

Saw that too Brad. But it was I think in the newly-come-out-price-off-DVD section on fourth floor…

I too have yet to turn on my AC this year… I think I’m gonna be able to make it the rest of August!
